Happy Holidays!

We had a great Christmas at home this year. We moved into our house December 23rd. Thats right...December 23rd. Talk about cutting it close. We knew it was going to be a low key year which made it nice. Jack doesn't really get Santa yet but we know he'll be super excited about seeing him next year.

I think Santa still managed to do a pretty good job though.

Halloween

I completely dropped the ball on Halloween. I think given the circumstances I get a pass on this one though.

I did manage to sneak in a costume at the last minute though. Since Jack and Dexter are best friends I wanted to do something together. Jay and I were watching TV one night and Family Guy came on. It's not the funniest adult cartoon but it's good if you want to waste 30 mintues. Family guy has a toddler/baby named Stewie and a dog whos name is Brian. I figured it would be an easy quick costume and as luck would have it we were able to pull it together quickly.

I did have to bribe them with string cheese to get them to stand still for 1 mintue. They are both Cheese OBSESSED!

Here is the final result. On the left is a still pulled off the internet and on the right is our boys.

Did you know we have a toddler?

It's been a long couple of months. Really long.

In that time I feel like Jack has really gown up. He's no longer our baby, he's a full on toddler. A toddler who has an opinion too.

He's such a sweet boy though with his crooked little smile and wrinkled nose. He loves giving huggs to everybody and especially Stimpy the cat. Poor Stimpy. He's such a good cat but he's just not a fan of Jack. He likes to sit and watch him from the top of the couch though. He'll sneak by Jack hoping that he doesn't get trapped with a hug but usually Jack wins and pins him down for a full on full body hug. Stimpy is such a good sport for a 13 year old cat. Dexter on the other hand loves Jack. He's his little boy. He is such a protector. They love playing and Jack is finally able to trop a ball for Dexter.

Right before Halloween we took at trip to the pumpkin patch that we visited last year. He loved playing in them. Hopefully next year we'll go to one of the local pumpkin growers instead.
